Mini Sofa

The objective was to design a seating project that fits into the 12x12x12in space. And consider the use of materials to approach sustainability.

My idea was to make a foldable structure that when it's folded up, it's a 12-in cube stool; when it's opened up, it's a mini sofa that you can lean on.

Material & Sustainability

  • Cork

    • Trees are not cut down when harvested, it’s just a type of bark of the tree. The tree is able to grow its bark back and able to harvest again after 9 to 12 years

  • Wool Felt

    • Wool felt is a natural product and its manufacturing process has a very low environmental impact Since wool felt is just made out of wool fur, it’s 100% biodegradable.
